About LightPacker
LightPacker is a travel site for people who pack light. We focus (for now) on interesting places, travel news, and gear we like.
Instead of setting lofty goals, we’re going to see where this goes. Please contact us with comments, coverage ideas or other suggestions.
About Dan Frommer
Dan Frommer is a Brooklyn, New York-based journalist and designer. His travel writing debuted at age 6. Poolside at the Hotel Maya Cozumel, he chronicled his first overseas journey, including vivid descriptions of fresh ceviche, lethargic iguanas and his concerns about the future of Eastern Airlines.
Frommer runs LightPacker for fun and works as a technology journalist in New York. He is currently Senior Editor at The Business Insider, a site he helped launch in 2007. He also writes about non-tech/travel topics at FromeDome.
Frommer, born and raised in Chicago, is a graduate of the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University, where he majored in broadcast journalism with a minor in European history. He is occasionally available for freelance writing projects and will gladly travel anywhere.
Dan is neither related to, affiliated with, nor employed by Arthur Frommer or the Frommer’s line of guidebooks, magazines or websites.
